4th of July Activities in the Madison Area

There's no shortage of fairs, festivals, or get-togethers in the Madison Area, and there's no exception when it comes to Independence Day! 4th of July is one of my favorite Holidays; summer weather, good food, and of course the fireworks! Find a way you and your family can celebrate by reading about the different local events below.

Shake the Lake

What: Festival and Firework show

Celebrate Independence Day with the Shake the Lake. The free outdoor celebration features a variety of family-friendly events and activities along the beautiful Lake Monona. Festivalgoers can enjoy an assortment of delicious food and beverages as well as live music, and a show-stopping fireworks display.

Waunaboom

What: July 4 Family Celebration
Where: Ripp Park
When: July 4, 2018 / 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

Waunaboom is the perfect way to enjoy your Fourth of July this year. Music, activities and food will be available as well as an F-16 flyover, Black Hawk helicopter fly-in and large fireworks display.

Monona Community Festival

What: Monona Family Festival
Where: Fireworks launch at Winnequah Firemen's Park
When: July 3-4, 2018 / 3:00 p.m.

Come on by Monona's annual Community festival for a two-day celebration of the 4th. Watch fireworks, and indulge in the food and activities available at this family friendly event.

Edgerton Fireworks

Seeking a traditional way to celebrate the 4th? Enjoy your July 4th festively with fireworks at Racetrack Park. Spend your night viewing a fireworks display and partaking in various fun, food and activities.
